Alligator, Transverse, Longitudinal, Edge. Is the road material to blame?

We analysed a sample section of 2,000 miles/ 3,000km of road data:

- The frequency of crack repairs (such as crack seal) for the last decade

- The subsurface moisture levels, measured using TDRI scanning technology

Here's what the statistics showed:

- As moisture levels increase, it's more likely we'll need to perform crack repairs šŸ“ˆ

- The crack repairs were not addressing the root cause as the moisture remained trapped

Cracking may not solely be due to moisture, but this is compelling evidence that if you understand the moisture levels under your roads, you can make informed decision about how to reduce the effort and cost of repeated crack repairs.

Stay tuned for the final episode, everybodys favourite failure - Potholes!
